We provide you with the blueprints and design specs you need to build your own car and compete in our annual racing event held in Payson, Utah. We provide a unique and thrilling experience for racers of all ages.
Ready to race? Bring your soap box derby car on race day, and register at the track, or Pre-Register here. Please arrive by 2:00pm to check in. There is no entrance fee.
We have strict rules in place to ensure the safety of all racers and spectators. Please read through them carefully before registering for our event.

We're passionate about racing and want to share that passion with others. Our annual event is a soap box derby that takes place in Payson, Utah. We provide blueprints and design specs for racers to build their own gravity fed cars and compete in our race. We've been organizing these events since 2003 and always strive to make it a fun experience for everyone involved.
Race Divisions
Competitors are divided into three divisions. Ages are not fixed, but are rough guidelines.
Colt
8-13 year olds
Up to 275 lbs with car and driver
Mustang
13-17 year olds
Up to 340 lbs with car and driver
Bronco
18 and older
Up to 400 lbs with car and driver
One car may be run by multiple drivers in multiple divisions provided it meets the weight requirements for each division in which it is competing.
